About US

Ubuntu Transformation Foundation is a non-profit company that was created to give practical action to the theory of the Spirit of Ubuntu. We go beyond mere compassion but take practical steps to alleviate the effects of poverty, with a particular focus on rural community development. Our practical approach seeks to take out needy households from the lists of charity cases by empowering and supporting them to produce their own food. Our interventions are carefully designed to help households to be self-sufficient through sustainable household production activities.

Led by Chairman Ace Ncobo, a renowned philanthropist, community development specialist and social activist, UTF lives up to its motto, "The Spirit of Ubuntu in Action".

Early Christmas Lotto for OR Tambo tornado victims

Christmas came early for victims of the recent storms in the OR Tambo District when the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) made a funding commitment for food hampers to all the affected families. At least 900 homes were completely demolished by a vicious tornado that tore through all the five local municipalities which make up the OR Tambo District.

ORT Lotto beneficiaries “extremely happy with decent food parcels”

Despite the sombre mood amongst many of the beneficiaries, some of whom are staying with neighbours, they expressed deep gratitude to the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) for what one beneficiary called “the most decent food parcel we have ever seen”.
